Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four kids born August 9th, 1976 in Beaumont Puy of Domme. Her parents encouraged her parents, dentist and a teacher and both of them were teachers. They encouraged her to pursue her interest in acting. This was in contrast with her previous desire to become a primateologist because she adored monkeys. The rise was swift in her career to become a famous young actor. Prior to beginning the acting profession, Tautou was a participant in Jeunes Premiers which was a French show on TV that focuses on talent sponsored by Canal+ in 1998. The program also awarded her the title of Best Young Actress for during the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. Tautou was educated at Institut Catholique de Paris, was a churchgoer as a young girl and was educated Catholic. But she is now separating herself from the Catholic tradition. Alongside her acting profession, she has was also interested in modelling. She was the model in the commercials for L'Oreal Mont Blanc, Chanel and was dubbed "The Chanel Muse". Photographing is also a passion and she recently exhibited her work in the Arles festival, under the title Superficial. Her work is focused on celebrities in addition to the fame. The exhibition also includes an assortment of self-portraits as well as a particular focus on the media that has closely scrutinized Tautou following her rapid popularity after Amelie. Audrey Tautou's worldwide success and fame soared after her appearance in the film as Amelie Poulain's lead woman in Le Fabuleux in the film d'Amelie. Amelie has been an international box office success and has been lauded at numerous award shows around the world. It is the most successful French language film to be released in the US. The success of this movie led Tautou to a variety of roles, from British dramas like Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
